God is a man

So a lot of people apparently tend to believe that the Christian god might be a woman and whilst I applaud this happy-go-lucky, merry attitude of equality and reason that some of this opinion might have, I must also say that I believe that most people who think this are a bunch of uptight feminists who doesn't know squad about The Holy Bible.

Of course I wouldn't be so straightforward with out some good arguments, so here we go:
  1. It comes from a time of woman opression - why in the world would god be a woman and then have her sex be the opressed?
  2. The Bible clearly states: "God created man in his image," Man in this case being Adam - taking in a litterate sense, that would make god a man
  3. And this might be the most convincing one: Genisis - Passage 3-5  - If you would be so kind as to look up verse 8, you will se what I mean.
For your convinience: God is a man

Not that I have an issue with god being a woman, it is merely that it is so easy to see that he clearly wasn't meant to be. Anyone who believes he is, is a moron.

Why does it never rain on me?

What is bad weather? Is there a definite answer, or is it merely something we, ourselves, decide subjectively? Has it just been accepted in general that bad weather = rain, storm, snow?

It has occured to me, as of late, that whenever it rain, a lot of people in my life, happen to think that it is, and I qoute, "Piss-weather" - they hate it automatically. Apparently they don't like getting wet, which I find amusing considering how many of them like going to the beach for a swim during summer. Well here's some news:

I LIKE RAIN

Rain is nice! It seems to me that people have just gotten used to mentioning that it sucks and that might be why they hate it, but dammit, rain is the best weather there is. Have you ever taking a walk in light rain, with your trusty MP3-Playing cell and a pair of headphones? It is HEAVEN. Or crossing through some heavy rain on your glorious mission to get home from you're annoying friend, who just keeps calling you to ask and see if you'd like to hang out, and even though you really don't want to, you do it anyway, with the teeny tiny spark of a hope that he might wanna stop calling afterwards due to a lasting satisfaction, but in reality knowing that that'll never happen? It's nice when you get home, take off your wet clothes and replace them with some dry, relaxing clothes.
Why hate on rain? It's great for every mood! Happy, sad, angry, you name it!

Now heres a point, which I think interesting: People don't like rain- But when it's Christmas, they get all enthusiastic and, well, actually pretty annoying when the snow slowly makes it's way down from the sky, laying a white, soft carpet on our land.
Here's why snows sucks:
  • Due to it's white color, it absorbs less warmth from the sun, causing the temperaute to fall, which I think we can all agree: sucks!
  • People can pick it up, shape it like a neat little ball, and throw it in your face - with a holiday cheer of course. Not only that, but kids might just throw it at cars, causing incidents involving horrible death, pain and misfortune - with a holiday cheer of course. They also might just throw it at house windows, causing them to break and the carpet or hardwood floor inside to get some nasty scratches and stain - WITH A HOLIDAY CHEER OF COURSE!
  • After some time, the snow will freeze over the neat little roads of wonderful asphalt, causing car crashes - seasons greetings!
  • You can get snowed in - I really don't think you can get rained in
I could hand out more reasons, most of them involving suffering, but I think I made my point. For some odd reason, people dislike rain more than they dislike snow, or at least in my experience. It's fricken stupid!
Now sunshine, is fine too, no prob, still... A little rain during the hot summertime can also cool you down. Cloudy, mellow weather on the other hand... well, who can be cheerful on a dry, grey day like that?

Rain is awesome, bottom line. Love it, don't be a hater.

For some final content: A poem entitled "Rain"

There's something dashing against my cheek
It's some neat little drops pick-me-ups
It always wanna make me go outside and have a peek,
When it's frozen it sucks!

What might this thing be, that always make me cheer
now listen well, I really want you to hear
You might just think me weird, crazy or insane,
but this thing I love is rain!

No matter what mood, I'll always take a walk,
A thrive in the rain, like in the air: a hawk,
It's good if I'm glad, it's good if I am sad,
If you hate on it, then I will get mad,
In the rain, you find no pain,
It's incredible how much, cheer you'll gain,
So if you ever see it raining, outside your safe house
come and take a walk with me... OR DIE BY THE HANDS OF LUCIFER, THE IMMORTAL EATER OF SOULS!!!!

Have a nice day.

3 Poems

My absence regarding this blog is a devastating and unfortunate thing, I'm sure, for the 3 readers I figured I have - so until I become famous and everyone starts reading it, I'll keep it mellow - but still! I know a wonderful person who always writes these amazing poems, that I always enjoy reading, and I figured: "What tha heck?! I'm gonna give a crack at it!"

Ergo, I will post 3 poems regarding 3 different topics of my life, and when I say my life, bear in mind that I mean at least remotely related, not necessarily up and personal!

But before I start, I have some trivia! Ever wondered about why it's called a "Poem" or "Poet"?
Well, recently I found out (Yes, I check out weird stuff like that), It is a word derived from the last name of the man which the word honours; A man by the name of Edgar Allan Poe - read about him on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe

anywho!
POEM #1 [Inspiration]

Inspiration is found everywhere
At home, at work and all around outside
it's just like music in the air
From inspiration you can't hide

See the beautiful scenery,
teeming with life,
Keep looking at it eagerly,
Inspiration comes through strife

Look at feelings all around you,
Notice all the colours that you see,
Green, white, red & blue
From Inspiration you can't flee.

Inspiration ain't a choice we make
but it's our choice to set it free
So people, for goodness sake
what can I do to make you see
           Inspiration

POEM #2 [She]

I've seen her at school
She's beautiful
I've seen her at home
I think of her when I'm alone

What are the odds for finding one,
one so great that she differs from everyone,
And then what are the chances that I first now see,
she always lived almost next to me

When she's here
I appreciate it
I want to talk with her
I want to hold
I want to kiss her

When she's not here
I think of her
I miss her
I text her
I want her to be

And now I'm thinking that I can't believe my luck,
The news of a whole month with her, came as a nice little shock,
This poem is my way to mark our time together,
as something special, that'll be in my heart forever.

POEM #3 [Make it count]

Who the hell are ye,
and why are ye wavin',
and don't point your finger,
just 'cause I ain't been shavin'

I only live once, this once,
and I better make it count!
I don't consider my every move,
my every sound!

I just go with what makes me tick,
right here, right now,
which is why I don't watch no chick flick,
but rather "The Kung-fu cow"
I wanna, wanna make it count!

And no I don't drink and don't smoke,
that just don't appeal to me
young people's dancin' is a joke,
I wonder why they can't see!

Don't wonder about life that much,
Don't be in such a hurry because,
You gotta enjoy every moment around
you better... Better make it count!

Empathy

So I am walking home and I see this bird lying on the ground, wounded and in pain. I feel bad for the poor bird since it is in pain and has severely damaged its wing. I now have 3 choices:

1. I ignore the bird and go on my merry way, forgetting all about it.
2. I take the bird home with me and nurse it to health, knowing that it will never fly again.
3. I put the bird out of its misery

As humans, is it okay to ignore a creature in peril simply because you don't know what to do? Or because you don't care? And would it be different if it was a hurt person instead of a bird? And what if I picked option number 2? Of course helping a fellow animal in peril would be the obvious choice for me, there is a con here! Though it will be relieved of its pain, it will never be able to fly again and thus I would deprive it of its natural trait. Birds can fly, and that's what they do if they need to survive, but here is the tricky question: Will the bird be unhappy? Are other animals even capable of thinking and feeling like we do? Would it just get used to not having that ability and then live the rest of its life like this, as happy and chippy as ever? Then there also is option 3: putting the bird out of its misery - and I do believe the ethics and that one speaks for themselves.

Anywho, this is a scenario I've yet to encounter. I merely read about it in Zetman and History's strongest Disciple Kenichi and happened to gain a cerain couriosity towards the topic. What would you do in this situation?

Awesomely Special with a hint of change

Life is interesting, isn't it?
You can prance around feeling down because of one thing, and then get uplifted because something great happens - or vice versa!
You may think that something is, that really isn't - or that something that isn't really is!
More than that, something that's been in your life for a long time, may suddenly change - and so can you!

Now disregarding that topic (not entirely) I believe
Geoffrey F. Fisher
once said: "If you aim for perfection, you'll discover it's a moving target" - that it is, that it is.

Nonetheless, what is perfection? Is it something that seem flawless to everyone? If so then there can't be perfection!

My definition of something perfect is something 'special'
something that makes me happy, in a strange unexplainable way.

I know someone special, I believe.
Someone I am always excited to see - and I can't wait 'till I see her again.
Someone who is more beautiful than the Sistine Chapel to an architect and more intelligent than Niels Bohr to a nuclear physicist. <--- That may sound lame, but it really isn't
Someone who seems more interesting than an algorithm to a mathematician, sweeter than Mother Theresa to the poor and more cute than a care bear (which we all think are darn cute).

[Using all of these adjectives in one blog-post has been really hard for me, so I hope I get a little credit]

ATM I think sitting here, at home, is a fricken waste of time, which in the past was something I preferred :s
I liked sitting here in my chair, relaxing, sipping coffee or whatever, whilst watching some sit-coms with my good friend "The Hook" <--- Yes, that's what we call him.
Thanks to her, that is completely ruined; Smashed into little pieces! - I still wanna see my friend, but sitting in my chair watching some stupid sit-com when I can go see her? No fricken way!

Now how should I define it? Do you know something that is awesome? Go with that x10 and then you've got the square root of her. Am I blabbering a bit? Mayhaps... Nonetheless, keep reading or I'll get mad.

for simpler minds: She is great and I want to emphasize that fact!

Now can that be considered being 'special?' - to me: Yes, most definitely!
Can it be considered perfection? A moving target? Maybe to some, maybe not to others - make your own definition, make your own calls! To me? Well, it's damn right close - at least I can with safety say that: She's moving, alright!

I invite and encourage everyone to make and eventually change definitions of everything they gaze upon, ponder over or whatever pops into their head :) Peace out :D

The rhyming problem with teleportation

Just for kicks, my post will be written as a song / poem - I'll try to make everything rhyme.

Everyone here has seen it,
On TV, in comics and film!
Everyone here can believe it,
But they don't realize the thing...

There's a problem with teleportation!
A futuristic thing, we all think indeed!
A thing we all think amazing!
On that we are all agreed!

Bu-----t

Think about the actual process, in this whole concept
Every single particle in you, you must not forget -
Has to be broken down!
Reduced to nothing - I must frown!
For after you've been broken down to nothing, you must be recreated
And it would be painful unless sedated!
Say it was possible, the gift we've been granted
What could the teleportation then be branded?!

What? I Bit!
Cloning? That's right!

Say you could do all this in a heartbeat,
I must say without being discreet,
When you arrive on the other side
merely a clone you will be, that's right!

Now tell me folks is it still al that great?
Would you still mind opening the gate?
Prancing inside all lovey-dovey,
and become a man with the very same body?

And my song may very well such a lot,
but I'm afraid this is all I've got!
To think that all of this, inside me was stored...
... What can I say? I was bored!

Discussions are good!!

People, people, people!
As time progresses and I get older, I develop certain opinions and obtain certain knowledge. True, I am mostly passive about everything, but there are some things that make me tick, including Religion, History, Ethics, Moral, Etymology, Sociology, Psychology and the list goes on... Or actually no, it doesn't.

At some point I came to enjoy discussing these topics on a philosophical level, but I reckon that is not in everybody's best interest. I call the phenomenon of talking a topic over: "Discussing".

Now what does "Discussing" mean?
According to www.thefreedictionary.com it means one of the following:

1. To speak with another or others about; talk over.
2. To examine or consider (a subject) in speech or writing.

Now when I say i want to discuss something, I mean level-headed, rational, mature examining of the topic, but it seems that some people are just hell bend on considering that particular word as a very bad one. I consider a discussion something between friends, family, or people in general whom are actually not ignorant idiots.

Am I saying that you are a jerk just because you are not capable of- or do not want to discuss a certain topic with me or anyone else? No, not at all - but then who am I calling idiots? That is so very simple: I am calling the obnoxious people, who are so narrow-minded and set in their ways that they won't even listen to viewpoints and arguments, but merely makes the same statement over and over again, idiots! Those are the one's I am calling idiots.

As soon as a discussion becomes about winning, changing the others opinion to one's own, humiliate the other and so on, then it is no longer a discussion; Then it becomes a "Fight."

Why would anyone want to fight over something trivial?
Anyhow, it seems that a lot of people has gotten the two words mixed up - and a lot of these people funnily enough seems to be the pricks I just can't fucking stand!

But then why do we have discussions, if not for winning? Elementary, my dear Watson; That is merely, in my case at least, to gain greater insight into the topic and come to understand why the world is at it is, and its inhabitants are as they are.

As a little finisher to this topic, I want to share a quote (As good as I remember it) of Socrates. See, Socrates had visited an Oracle, I do not remember which one, and Socrates had this to say about it: "The Oracle called me the wisest Greek of all. Not because I know the most, but because I, of all the Greeks, know that I know nothing."
