3 Poems

My absence regarding this blog is a devastating and unfortunate thing, I'm sure, for the 3 readers I figured I have - so until I become famous and everyone starts reading it, I'll keep it mellow - but still! I know a wonderful person who always writes these amazing poems, that I always enjoy reading, and I figured: "What tha heck?! I'm gonna give a crack at it!"

Ergo, I will post 3 poems regarding 3 different topics of my life, and when I say my life, bear in mind that I mean at least remotely related, not necessarily up and personal!

But before I start, I have some trivia! Ever wondered about why it's called a "Poem" or "Poet"?
Well, recently I found out (Yes, I check out weird stuff like that), It is a word derived from the last name of the man which the word honours; A man by the name of Edgar Allan Poe - read about him on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe

anywho!
POEM #1 [Inspiration]

Inspiration is found everywhere
At home, at work and all around outside
it's just like music in the air
From inspiration you can't hide

See the beautiful scenery,
teeming with life,
Keep looking at it eagerly,
Inspiration comes through strife

Look at feelings all around you,
Notice all the colours that you see,
Green, white, red & blue
From Inspiration you can't flee.

Inspiration ain't a choice we make
but it's our choice to set it free
So people, for goodness sake
what can I do to make you see
           Inspiration

POEM #2 [She]

I've seen her at school
She's beautiful
I've seen her at home
I think of her when I'm alone

What are the odds for finding one,
one so great that she differs from everyone,
And then what are the chances that I first now see,
she always lived almost next to me

When she's here
I appreciate it
I want to talk with her
I want to hold
I want to kiss her

When she's not here
I think of her
I miss her
I text her
I want her to be

And now I'm thinking that I can't believe my luck,
The news of a whole month with her, came as a nice little shock,
This poem is my way to mark our time together,
as something special, that'll be in my heart forever.

POEM #3 [Make it count]

Who the hell are ye,
and why are ye wavin',
and don't point your finger,
just 'cause I ain't been shavin'

I only live once, this once,
and I better make it count!
I don't consider my every move,
my every sound!

I just go with what makes me tick,
right here, right now,
which is why I don't watch no chick flick,
but rather "The Kung-fu cow"
I wanna, wanna make it count!

And no I don't drink and don't smoke,
that just don't appeal to me
young people's dancin' is a joke,
I wonder why they can't see!

Don't wonder about life that much,
Don't be in such a hurry because,
You gotta enjoy every moment around
you better... Better make it count!
